Declan De Paor is a Professor of Geophysics at Worchester Polytechnic Institute. He is a strong proponent of the use of computer-based visualization tools, and has embraced the use of Google Earth and SketchUp as a key component in both his research and teaching.

Pict'Earth is an international colaboration of scientists and techologists who collect high resolution imagery using UAV/UAS or kites for use in 3D Globe Programs, including Google Earth, Virtual Earth, World Wind and ArcGIS Explorer.

Perry Samson is a Professor in the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences at the University of Michigan. He creates KML visualizations of severe weather; as previewed at Where 2.0 earlier this year.
